Zara Larsson, on September 26, took to Instagram to share images of her and Tata McRae from her Miss Possessive Tour. In the caption, she opened up about her love for McRae and how she feels about people pitting them against each other.

It’s a wrap on Miss Possessive tour! @tatemcrae thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your stage with me and my girls every night. I can’t explain how much I’ve appreciated the opportunity to give the people a little taste of a Zara set. I’m speechless at the amount of praise I’ve been getting over these past few weeks from your wonderful fans and online."

She also added,

"With that being said, it’s been strange seeing some people putting us against each other when we’re just two pop girls who love and support each other back stage! Not only are you insanely talented, something we all can tell from seeing you on stage every night, but you have an incredible team around you."

Zara Larsson also showed love to McRae for setting the bar and the standards for the relationship she has with her team and mentioned that she will "always" have her back.

Tate McRae’s Miss Possessive Tour, her fifth concert tour and first arena tour, kicked off on March 18, 2025.

More about Zara Larsson and Tate McRae's friendship

Zara Larsson's recent appreciation post for Tate McRae is not the first time the Swedish pop star has shown love for McRae. While speaking to BANG Showbiz at Capital's Summertime Ball in June 2025, Zara mentioned that she'd love to collaborate with Tate.

"I'd loe to collaborate with Tate. What if we like do this (Summertime Ball) on tour and make a joint album. I really would (love to collaborate with Tate). I think she's so talented."

While speaking to People in April 2025, Zara mentioned that she's "in awe" of the singer,

"I just can't believe she's 21 because she seems so mature, like she's been doing this for a really long time, kind of like I have. Maybe that's what people thought about me when I was 21. Now, I'm old."

She also expressed that she’s "in awe" of Tate McRae’s remarkable "work ethic" and the sheer dedication she puts into her craft. Speaking about Tate’s dance skills, Zara Larsson revealed that she’s "truly inspired" by how the singer has fully "embraced her dancing side" and shared that she hopes to "dance more" herself in the future.
