According to a report by Complex, it all started when fans accused Cardi B of allegedly copying Bia's artistic style in the track titled Like What (Freestyle) (2024), noting the similar Missy Elliot beat sampling, as well as flow in Bia and Timbaland's track, I'm That B***h released in 2023.
As per XXL Mag, while Bia didn't deny the comparisons, she reacted to a fan tweet that said,
"Bia is definitely on Cardi's mood board a lot."
As per Forbes, in June 2024, Bia released her diss track SUE MEEE? on YouTube, where she alleged that Cardi cheated on her husband, Offset, and said,
"Put it on your hubby since you like lying on your vows."
The cover art for the track included a screenshot of an Instagram story post made by Offset in 2023, which suggested that the rapper had allegedly cheated on him. Offset deleted the story and later stated that Cardi B had not cheated on him.
This comes after Cardi B released a track with GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion on the remix of Wanna Be. In the track, Cardi raps,
"Hope she talk like that when I see her (Woo)/B***ch, please, don't nobody wanna be ya (BIA) (Ah)/ Cheap lookin' a** h*, weak lookin' a** h*/ Great value me lookin' a** h*/ Girl, these bit*** be p***y / Delete every tweet lookin' a** h*."
What has Cardi B said about Bia in her new album, Am I the Drama?
Cardi B and Bia's feud intensified when the former took the latter's name in her most recent album, Am I The Drama. In a track from her album, Cardi raps,
"Name five Bia songs gun pointed to your head, bow b**ch you dead."
The two rappers' feud kicked off initially after fans pointed out that Cardi's Like What (Freestyle) sounded similar to Bia's I'm That B***h.
The two rappers were not always feuding. The beef, as per Complex and Forbes, seemingly began after Bia addressed rumors about her feud with Cardi B. These were consequently on the heels of Bia's collaboration and performances with Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have previously been involved in numerous feuds.
After rumors about an alleged feud made waves in May 2023, Bia took to her TikTok Live to refute claims and said,
"Sweetie, I didn't switch up on anybody because I don't know Cardi in real life. I've never met Cardi, we've never had a conversation. Like, I don't have no issues with her, it's all love, but I don't know her. Y'all do too much on this app, I don't know her in real life."
She then asked fans to ask her about somebody that she does know, and has "met in real life, not online." While Cardi B never addressed these comments, Bia seemingly went on to diss her on Dreezy's B***h Duh remix, which prompted Cardi to diss Bia on GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion on the remix of Wanna Be.
