K-pop singer HyunA, during a November 9 performance, lost consciousness and collapsed while performing her hit song Bubble Pop at the Waterbomb 2025 Macau. The event was held at the Outdoor Performance Venue in Macau, Singapore.While the cause of her collapse was not revealed, many fans took to social media with claims that the singer collapsed due to side effects of extreme dieting and weight loss. The singer had announced her decision to gon on a diet on October 3 and had lost 10kg within a month. At the time, she had shared a photo of her weighing scale, which read 49kg with the caption,"It was really hard getting my weight to start with a 4 again. I still have a long way to go. How much have you eaten all this time, Kim HyunA?"As soon as she collapsed on the stage, the backup dancers quickly ran to her and held her up. Moments later, a security guard carried her off the stage.HyunA apologizes for fainting mid-performanceAfter collapsing on the stage during a November 9 performance, the singer took to Instagram on November 10 to apologize to her fans for the incident and said,"I'm sorry for not being able to perform as professionally as I wanted to. Honestly, I don't remember anything (that happened on stage). Many fans from Macau came (to see the performance), and of course my fans too. Everyone came all the way to Macao, and I'm so sorry. I'll improve my stamina and continue giving my best."She also reassured her fans and noted that she is "totally fine" and urged her fans not to worry about her.In an earlier variety show, HyunA had confessed, "If my weight drops below 45kg, I lose strength and faint." In 2020, the singer had to postpone the release of her comeback single Good Girl and subsequently the release of her full studio album, I'm Not Cool to January 2021.
