What happened between Paris Campbell Grace and Laura Jane Grace? Details explored as TikToker alleges abuse by wife

TikToker and comedian Paris Campbell Grace called out her wife and singer Laura Jane Grace, alleging abuse. Paris took to her social network, Threads, where she issued long statements about her side of the story. Paris wrote that she was locked in her office without any help from anyone. Mentioning an instance, she wrote:

“She's been yelling at me since we woke up, I have remained calm (although admit I have cried a bunch after) and begged her to please be kind to me and try to have a good day.”

Paris also mentioned that she and Laura Jane Grace collaborated on a project. However, she mentioned that there arose differences between them as she claimed Laura was trying to break the house apart. Paris Campbell Grace wrote:

“Everything from my past of having to turn to SW, to my alarm going off too much has been setting Laura Jane to a place of sheer irrational rage towards me daily. I am trying my best here, but I FEEL unsafe.”

Paris Campbell Grace said that what she was going through was real. She loved her wife a lot, but believed she needed serious help. She wanted them to attend counseling, but Laura got angry at the suggestion. Even when she partly agreed, nothing changed.

She felt there was no choice but to speak about it publicly because she didn’t have a support system, as most people in her life were there because of Laura Jane Grace.

Paris Campbell Grace wrote how her relationship with Laura Jane Grace changed

Paris said they crossed paths on social media, and she asked Laura out. Within two months, they quickly built a life together and got married. Laura got Paris involved in her work, and she became a part of the touring bands.

Narrating what happened with Laura Jane Grace, Paris Campbell Grace wrote:

“Rapidly, things shifted. More and more, my wife seemingly started to become resentful towards me for multiple things, but primarily my short lived experience as a SWer. My wife has found a way to tie it into everything. This threw me… HARD. I couldn't understand, and still don't understand, why suddenly for the last OVER A YEAR I find myself daily getting my trauma thrown in my face.”

In one of the Threads posts, Laura Jane Grace replied that in the year and a half they were together, Paris had her child for only about three months. Even then, the child was in daycare all day while her partner spent time smoking and scrolling on TikTok.

Laura Jane Grace added that the last time she filed for divorce, her partner stayed at an Airbnb. Laura also mentioned that she had a child living in the house, and asked Paris to leave the house. Neither of the two gave much context about their respective children.

Paris Campbell Grace posted screenshots of their conversations in which she was seen asking Laura to leave the house so that she could spend time with her child. However, Laura seemingly refused, saying she did not feel safe leaving her belongings with Paris.

Laura also suggested getting a divorce and installing cameras in the house in case Laura wanted to keep an eye on her belongings.
