Doechii was in shock when she learned that Lady Gaga had sung her praises.

During a recent interview with People Magazine, the Anxiety songstress, 25, recounted the moment she learned that the veteran singer had complimented her work,

“I audibly gasped, literally. I’m the biggest Lady Gaga fan,” she said in the interview, which came out on May 31. “She’s so devoted to creativity and pushing boundaries. For a legend like her to say that about me was incredibly validating in a humbling way.”

For context, Lady Gaga sat down for a profile with British Vogue, where she praised the "immediately legendary" artist:

“You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary,” she said. “That’s Doechii to me.”

Recalling the moment she met the EGOT winner, Doechii, legally known as Jaylah Ji'mya Hickmon, said:

“When you meet Lady Gaga, she has this essence. You just listen. You don’t even have to ask for anything. She pours herself into people.”

In other news, the Denial Is a River songstress recently announced her Live from the Swamp tour to mark the first anniversary of her breakout mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal. She is now expected to kick off her tour in Chicago on October 14 before wrapping it up in Seattle on November 11 after performances across 12 cities.

"One last time," she wrote in a post on Instagram. "this project just turned one, and before i disappear to create the next world, l'm going back on tour. the final chapter of this era. Thank you for the memories, the magic, the love. —let's close it out together."

She first teased her fans with the forthcoming tour during her performance at Lollapalooza on Saturday in Chicago:

"Before we get out of here, I wanted to make an announcement. I'm gonna be going on tour on Oct. 14. What's up, Y'all? Bye!" she told the audience following her set.

Cameras then trailed the songstress as she got off the stage and into a Nissan Altima with the words "Doechii Tour" sprawled across it.

During her latest interview with People Magazine, she also opened up about the "massive festival stages" she's performed at:

"Honestly, my fan base is such a special fan base that it still feels intimate even when the crowd or stage is bigger. I think the biggest difference that I've noticed is just the bandwidth of production — how many people I'm working with now and how much more expensive my ideas are becoming," she said.
