What did Pat Green say about the Texas Floods? Country singer talks about "heartbreaking personal loss"

Country singer Pat Green in an Instagram statement on July 7 revealed experiencing deep "personal loss" during the devastating Texas floods, and noted that his family is "grieving."

"Over the weekend, during the devastating flooding that hit Central Texas, my family like so many others - suffered a heartbreaking and deeply personal loss. We are grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy."

The statement continued,

"Right now, we kindly ask for privacy and space as we mourn, support each other, and begin to process what comes next for our family. Thank you for your love, prayers, and compassion."

While Pat Green has not given further details, social media posts circulating online suggest that his stepbrother might have died in the floods, and that his body was recovered in Kerrvile.

Flash floods struck Central Texas, particularly the Hill Country and Kerr County between July 4 and 7, 2025 due to an exessive storm. People confirmed that the confirmed death toll has climbed 100, and that more than 24 people remain missing.


Did Pat Green postpone his concert?

Yes, country singer Pat Green, had earlier postponed his concert scheduled for July 5, to August 16, 2025. The singer had issued a statement on Facebook saying,

"Hi folks, Due to the unforseen weather and tragedy around the Texas Hill Country, it has been decided to postpone tomorrow night's show w/ @corymorrowband and @dawnandhawkes to a later date. The new date will be Saturday, August 16th, 2025, and any purchased tickets will be honored on this new date."

The statement continued,

"All advanced ticket buyers have been notified via email. Our prayers go out to all the folks affected by the floods in the Texas Hill Country."

Other celebrities including Jenna Bush Hager, Jennifer Garner, Matthew McConaughey and Camila McConaughey, Hilary Duff, Shakira, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Christy Carlson Romano, Mandy Moore, Maria Shriver, and others have have spoken out about the tragedy, and urged for help.

On July 7 th Jenna Bush Hager, said that her mom and former First Lady, Laura Bush, used to be a drama counselor at Camp Mystic. At least 27 girls and counselors died on July 7, after the devastating flooding on the Guadalupe River. Jenna added that a lot of her friends were raised on the camp, and many family members including grandmothers, mothers, kids had all attended it.
