Ina Garten is set to return to the Food Network with Season 7 of her cooking show, Be My Guest. In an exclusive conversation with People, the author and television chef opened up about her show and her potential contribution to Taylor Swift's newest album, The Life Of A Showgirl. Ina hoped that an interaction between her and Taylor may have been the inspiration for Cancelled, the tenth track on the album.

Referring to a "shoot" with Taylor for Food Network Magazine in 2014, Ina explained,

"So what happened was we were on the shoot and we were making a pavlova together. So we were putting this together, and I don't know how it even came up, we were talking about cocktails."

She added,

"It was like 11 o'clock in the morning, and I said, my favorite cocktail's a whiskey sour. And she said, ‘Oh, I've never had one.’”

Ina elaborated on the "sweet moment" and how they ended up sipping on a whiskey sour and eating pavlova.

Ina Garten is set to cook for her guests on the seventh installment of her cooking show. During an exclusive conversation with People, Ina couldn't help but remember her shoot with Taylor Swift, among the growing success of the latter's latest album. Ina revealed she was the first one to introduce and sip a whiskey sour with Taylor.

Thinking of the interaction, Ina further explained that, coincidentally, she had a pitcher of the drink in her refrigerator, and the duo soon turned it into a tipsy date. She added,

“At 11:30 a.m., she and I were drinking whiskey sours and making pavlova together. And I remember her saying to her mother, Andrea, ‘We're day drinking.’ It was just so sweet. Yeah, I made her first whiskey sour.”

On her tenth track, Cancelled, of the album, Taylor sings,

"Good thing I like my friends cancelled / I like 'em cloaked in Gucci and in scandal / Like my whiskey sour / And poison thorny flowers.”

While Ina couldn't confirm if their interaction inspired the lyrics, she was filled with fond nostalgia. She was all praise for the singer and hoped to be an inspiration. She said,

"She inspires all of us, so I'm glad if I inspire her a little bit, that'd be great."

Ina Garten hopes that a 2014 shoot between her and Taylor Swift inspired the latter's lyrics on Cancelled. The chef is all set to cook for other celebrities, including Tina Fey and Christine Baranski, on the Be My Guest set to premiere on October 19 on Food Network.
