Canadian singer Shania Twain has embarked on a philanthropic journey through her own foundation, which aims to help improve children’s lives, especially during difficult times. The Instagram page of the foundation posted a video on August 26, which mentioned that Twain's organization partnered with Second Harvest to distribute food.

In the video, the Ka-Ching! singer was seen speaking to an interviewer, to whom she said that she is giving $25,000 to every city she sets foot in for touring. However, the money will be distributed by Second Harvest depending on the needs.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Shania Twain has a net worth of $400 million. Throughout her career, she has sold over 100 million records and won several prestigious awards, including Grammys and BMAs.

Her first album under her name came out in 1993. Although it wasn’t quite successful initially, it eventually sold a million copies. However, reports mention that Shania Twain's success came after her 1995 album, The Woman in Me, was launched, which had four million sales.

Two years later, she released Come On Over, which went on to witness 40 million sales. She had a luxury resort in New Zealand, with rooms that charged $15,000 per day.

Meanwhile, speaking about her noble cause, Shania Twain said in the Instagram video:

“Well, it’s an honor, it’s a compliment. I have had a lot of dreams come true in my life, one of them wasn’t to be the biggest selling anything. It was just to have success in my career and also to give back. You know, this is something that I always dreamt of as a child that if I ever made it, and if I ever made it, I would be able to give back to kids that grew up like I did.”

Shania Twain shares her message of giving back to society

The caption of the Instagram video explained that food should help people, not end up in the trash. Hence, the Shania Twain Foundation worked with Second Harvest Canada to make sure good food reached people who needed it.

Their efforts included saving 30,000 pounds of potatoes and sending them to a food bank in Moose Jaw, rescuing almost 11,000 pounds of food from the Calgary Stampede to give to a community kitchen, and also supporting food rescue and delivery in Toronto, Ottawa, and Quebec City.

The post said that by working together, they were not only spreading awareness but also taking real steps to fight food waste and hunger in Canada. Elsewhere in the video, she said:

“You know, my career has given me so much and now I am giving back and it’s just this wonderful cyclical thing that I am enjoying and I want to thank the people that are a part of it.”

Shania Twain was previously married to producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange. According to Love Property, the couple purchased a property in Ontario a year after they married in 1993. The purchase value was $3,250,000. However, the singer sold the property eventually, for less than the offered price.
