Trick Daddy is doubling down on his criticism of Beyoncé.
The Miami rapper echoed his old comments that the 35-time Grammy-winning superstar "can't sing" and that her husband, a 25-time Grammy-winning artist in his own right, JAY-Z, "never won the Greatest Rapper Alive" title.
During a recent interview with NeNe Leakes, Trick Daddy was asked about his radio show on Miami's 99Jamz ending, and if it had anything to do with his comments about Bey and Hov. He replied:
“No, the pandemic. And no, I said something about Beyoncé and it wasn’t like that. Because I love Beyoncé and she’s very talented. I don’t know if there’s anybody else that can entertain and perform the way that she does. But, I was speaking on Clubhouse to this n***a out of LA named Wack 100. What he does is, he talks a lot of police sh*t. And he looks for content. He took what I said and edited it. ‘Beyoncé can’t sing,’ and that’s all they heard. The BeyHive was on my a**."
The Take It to Da House hitmaker continued,
"But, me, I know I didn’t mean that. So, I didn’t care. But, in my defense, I don’t consider Beyoncé a vocalist. I know what a vocalist is. I’m a Whitney Houston fan. My godmomma is the late, great Betty Wright. I know Mariah Carey has a voice. I know Anita Baker and Stephanie Mils have a voice. I know a lot of these young girls can’t sing like Shirley Murdock. That’s what I meant. There’s a difference between singing and sanging. If you can’t go to the church and make an old lady fall out and knock off her wig, you can’t sing to me.”

Back in June 2021, during a conversation on Clubhouse, Trick Daddy, born Maurice Young, slammed the Halo singer "because she see money" and she "ain't trying to give back to music or nothing."
“Beyoncé don't write music and barely can sing her motherf---ing self," he continued. "Beyoncé can't sing." He added, "Man, I watched my godmama train Beyoncé, vocal lessons all her career. I'mma give an unpopular opinion right now — Beyoncé is to R&B what JAY-Z is to New York. That's why they together. JAY-Z ain't never won the greatest rapper alive. Whoever put him on a level like that?"
It took a day for Beyonce's legion of fans to unleash their wrath on him, prompting him to take to his radio show the very next day, where he stood by his controversial comments. At the time, Trick Daddy clarified that he meant no disrespect and was simply sharing an “unpopular opinion.”
“What I said was I don’t think Beyoncé can sing and Beyoncé is to R&B what JAY-Z is to the state of Hip-Hop in New York at the time when JAY-Z considered himself as the King of Hip-Hop; which is my opinion. And opinions are like b*ttholes: without ’em, you’d be full of doo-doo. That’s my opinion. I’ve said many times on the radio that they’re wonderful businesspeople. Jigga made a lot of money, he got a whole lotta money. But did I say anything disrespectful? No. Did I call them out they names? No, I didn’t."
Trick Daddy continued,
“But before I said that, because a lot of females love Beyoncé, I said she’s the lady Jesus Christ to them, which is not a bad thing. Actually, that’s a compliment ’cause Jesus Christ was a powerful and lovable person. But if you got a problem with speaking your own mind, I apologize.”
