Fans were granted an inside look at the rapper's relationship with her eponymous reality show, Big Freedia Bounces Back, which ran for 4 years, ending in 2017. As pointed out by Us Weekly, in a 2018 recap video posted on YouTube, she can be seen gushing over her partner:
“Devon is my other half, he can make me go up, and he can make me go down,” she said at the time, to which Hurst responded: “Freedia’s love runs deep within me, deep like the ocean, ya hear me?”
In other news, the Queen of Bounce will release her first full-length gospel album this summer. Two singles from the same, Sunday Best, featuring Tamar Braxton, and Take My Hand are already out. “This song is a celebration of confidence,” said Big Freedia. “...of dressing up on the outside and feeling proud on the inside. ‘Sunday Best’ is about shining from the soul out.”
