Serayah is opening up about life as a new mom, two months after she welcomed her first child with fiancé Joey Bada$$.

The actress, 30, shared a new post on Instagram on Monday, July 31, where she got candid about a “Life Lately Dump." In the first slide, she can be seen sitting in the midst of several bouquets. In another photo, she shows off her blingy ring, and in the following one, she can be seen canoodling with the father of her child. In the last photo, the baby is nestled in her arms as she snaps a mirror selfie.

“2 months postpartum.. Wowww where do I begin??" her caption began. "First, I want to thank everyone who’s reached out to me, congratulated me and sent me love and support during this new chapter." She continued, My family showed up and showed out ! Idk what I would do without them. I’m still shook, in total disbelief that I’m a mommy now. This is the greatest accomplishment of my life thus far.”

Joey Bada$$, legally known as Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, and Serayah McNeill confirmed their relationship in 2023, People Magazine has reported. In her caption, the Empire actress gushed over her partner for constantly standing by her side:

"This is a journey, a process, and although it’s beautiful it ain’t easy It takes a village! One thing I’ve learned this year is to let go and let God, to be able to release and recieve, to submit to the will and have faith it’ll all be alright. My fiancé has held it DOWN you hear me ! Through and through that’s a good man Savannah 🤣 nah but frfr im so grateful. I know I haven’t been as present on socials, I just been living yall. LOVE ❤️"

Joey Bada$$ and Serayah's relationship history explored: From denying they're dating to welcoming their first child

Joey Bada$$ and Serayah first met in 2021, though they reconnected in March 2023, while they were shooting for the rapper's music video for “Show Me” from his 2000 album. Shortly after, things turned romantic for them, as she told Essence this year:

“It was that same energy, this unexplainable magnetizing energy without us really doing much or saying much. That’s what sparked the fire for me.”

Joey echoed the love:

“Her energy just felt so pure to me, and I just loved how I felt when I was around her," he told the outlet. "So that’s really what it was for me — I found myself wanting to talk to her, wanting to hang out with her, wanting to see her often.”

Back in March 2023, Joey denied rumors that he was dating Serayah, asserting that they were just friends. He told XoNecole that year that he was "single," but open to dating.

“We got a pretty cool friendship, and I think she’s gorgeous,” he said of his soon-to-be bride. “I think she’s talented.” He added, “I’m staying ready, so I don’t gotta get ready if that makes sense, you know what I mean? I don’t want to say that it’s anything I’m looking for like I understand how the law of attraction works."

However, months later, he changed his tune on the actress' birthday as he took to Instagram to confirm their romance:

“happy birthday my love," he penned in June 2023.

By August, he was wishing her a happy girlfriend's day. At the time, he shared photos from their trip to a beach as they were all cozied up with each other:

“I heard it’s National GF Day,” he wrote at the time.

After two years of dating, Serayah announced that she was pregnant with Joey Bada$$'s child in February 2025. At the time, she walked the runway for a lingerie brand called Adore Me, which is when she showed off her growing baby bump.

“It feels so surreal; every day, I am amazed at what my body is capable of,” Serayah told ESSENCE. “I’m so excited to start this new chapter in my life, and I’m looking forward to all of the adventures that come along with it.” She continued, “We are both in love with the idea of expanding our family together. “It’s a blessing to be able to share these moments and be in harmony about it all.”

Just last month, the pair announced the arrival of their first child, a son. Joey also has a daughter from a previous relationship. The pair has long been open to the idea of expanding their family, as Serayah also told Essence:
