Charli XCX married George Daniel in a very intimate ceremony held in London today. Few attendees were at the wedding because the couple decided on a modest celebration. Videos taken during the occasion show the couple being surrounded by friends and family members in their beautiful wedding dresses.

Charli XCX was caught in an ivory wedding dress, and George Daniel decided not to go too fancy and was caught in a black suit. The marriage between the two has fluttered the social media as congratulatory messages have poured in from different parts of the globe.

Charli XCX and George's wedding comes three years after the two were confirmed to be dating. George Daniel was a part of the 1975 band for the collaborative effort "Spinning", where he acted as the lead drummer for more than 2 decades. The British band, though formed in 2002, didn't release their debut album till 2013.

The band initially went through a musical identity crisis of sorts, performing under various names before finally settling on their current moniker in 2012. 1975 released several hit songs during that period, and later released their first album, which gained favorable reviews in 2013.

1975 has firmly established itself as one of the most influential acts of their generation, with drummer and co-producer George Daniel playing a big part in its growth. His engagement in 2023 and subsequent wedding to Charli XCX have brought him into the spotlight for reasons beyond his musical talents.

Charli and George Daniel's collaborative works

Before their marriage, the couple had worked together on multiple occasions. Their association started with the joint project "Spinning" (released in 2021) and has carried over to other projects as well. The two have joined hands on several songs, such as "Welcome to My Island", "Hot Girl" (Bodies Bodies Bodies), as well as Charli's 2022 album Crash.

Charli XCX also opened up about her partnership with George Daniel in an interview with Rolling Stone. The interview was conducted last year, and Daniel was her fiancé at the time. She was quoted as saying in the interview:

"We want to impress each other, and we think we’re both really good, but I’m actually such a b*tch in the studio with George. Because we’re obviously so close, you lose everything in terms of the normal studio boundaries. We flow really well, and he leaves a lot of space for people to breathe and be them and do their process."

George and Charli's relationship has been characterized by both personal and professional collaboration, and their wedding marks a new chapter in both their personal lives and musical careers.
