Country star Morgan Wallen has a long history of walking out on stage with sports icons. On July 26, 2024 former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman walked out with Wallen at the Dallas’s AT&T Stadium in Arlington, while on Aug. 2, 2024, he walked out with three members of the Kansas City Chiefs, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and defensive tackle Chris Jones, who were the then-reigning Super Bowl champs at Geha Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The "Last Night" singer kicked off his I’m the Problem tour at Houston’s NRG Stadium, and fans were roaring to see him walk out with former Houston Texan Andre Johnson for his tour debut stage. Adding to the surprise, Houston businessman and philanthropist Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, who owns Gallery Furniture and is known for his massive sports bets, joined the duo on their iconic walkout.

Based on Morgan Wallen's previous history with walkouts, there were theories that All-Pro cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. might join him as NRG Stadium is home to the NFL’s Houston Texans; however, fans were just as pleased with the results.

Other notable sports stars who have joined the 32-year-old singer include Tennessee Titan wide receiver DeAndre Watkins last May, NFL legend Peyton Manning at Knoxville, Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium show on September 22, 2024, along with current University of Tennessee football coach Josh Heupel and then-UT wide receiver Bru McCoy and QB Nico Iamaleava. On October 4, 202,4, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, he was joined by Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield as well as pro wrestler Hulk Hogan. But that's not all, as for his August 9, 2024, show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, he was joined by the Legendary Tom Brady and Mike Tyson.

While talking about the tour, Morgan Wallen told Apple Music Country,

“I spend months at this point getting ready to get on tour, just getting in shape. I don’t have to be in any kind of crazy shape to record in the studio. With how big my stage is, how much I run around, and how much effort that me and the guys put into it, I don’t think you would know that by just listening to the record.”

The tour, which started this weekend, has 20 dates and visits 10 cities featuring supporting acts Koe Wetzel, Miranda Lambert, Brooks & Dunn, Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock, and Thomas Rhett.
