Danielle Fishel is doubling down on her long-standing tradition of recreating Sabrina Carpenter’s album photos at Target.
The actress took to her Instagram earlier today, September 2, to share a photo of herself in a red Target grocery cart. Holding up several units of the singer's latest album, Manchild, she penned a heartfelt caption to her former co-star:
“Congratulations on yet another album with zero skips, @sabrinacarpenter. Another album that is fun and joyful AF but also filled with real, honest moments of disappointment and unmet expectations in a young woman's life. I'm endlessly proud of you for the way you carry yourself in this world, and I love you always and forever, my bb. Also, I'm starting to think House Tour isn't about your house."
For the unversed, Sabrina Carpenter and Danielle Fishel worked together on the Disney Channel show Girl Meets World. While the former portrayed Maya Hart on the show, the latter played Topanga Matthews. The show ran from 2014 to 2017. Fischel also reprised her role for the 2014 spin-off, Girl Meets Demolition, where she also served as a co-producer.
Danielle Fishel on her bond with Sabrina Carpenter, dealing with breast cancer, and more:
Just last year, Danielle Fishel spoke to People Magazine about the status quo of her bond with Sabrina Carpenter. During the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premiere in October, she told the outlet:
"I still consider her to be my daughter and I think of myself very much as a surrogate mother. She has a mother who's wonderful, who I'm very close to. I'm definitely an older friend who gives her advice more like a mom would than just a pal. I probably annoy her sometimes with my mom advice, but I can't help it! She's my baby forever."
Now 43, Danielle Fishel said she speaks to her friend "all the time." As for her favorite songs off Short n' Sweet, which was released that same year, she said:
"It's too hard to choose just one, but I'm obsessed with 'Juno,'" the director noted. "I love 'Bed Chem.' 'Taste' is obviously amazing. 'Juno''s been the one I've been rocking the most, I think."
In her private life, Danielle Fisher has been dealing with an early form of breast cancer known as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). That same month, the mother of two spoke to Good Morning America about her ailment and the moment she had to break the news to her family:
"Having to break the news to my husband was really hard. Both of his parents passed from cancer," Danielle Fishel said. "I waited until the kids went to bed and he actually brought it up. He said, 'Still no results yet, huh?' and I said, 'No, I did get the results back and I do have cancer.' And I mean, truly just saw the blood drain from his face."
The actor, director, and producer is now advocating for everyone to keep a close eye on their health:
"I feel like it's a very Topanga thing to be saying to people, 'Hey, your health matters. Your wellness matters. Can you please go have your preventative check-ups?'" Danielle Fishel said. "If you grew up watching me on TV, it’s probably time for you to get a mammogram, so go get one," she added.
