Cardi B is concerned for her security as fans urge the rapper to drop her sophomore album ASAP.

The WAP rapper took to X to tweet about upping her security after catching wind of an online petition that already had over 550 signatures. The initiative, created on Change.org on May 28, bore the title, "Urge Cardi B to Release Her Sophomore Album."

"I’m seriously scared of yall….and I’m upping my security," she wrote.

Here's everything we know about Cardi B's forthcoming album:

The petition was initiated by Junito B, who explained that waiting for Cardi B to drop her next album was "both exciting and agonizing." The description also noted that having to wait seven years for the songstress's second album was a "long time for such a musical powerhouse to leave fans yearning for more."

The petition urged Cardi B, who dropped her Grammy-winning debut album, Invasion of Privacy, back in 2018, to release some new music soon:

"We understand the creative process takes time, and artists should never be rushed. But, Cardi, your fans are ready! Ready to embrace whatever new stories, beats, and surprises you have in store. This petition is a heartfelt plea to let us dive back into the world only you can create. We promise to support you, stream your music, and celebrate the new era that comes with your sophomore album."

Cardi B has been teasing fans with her forthcoming album over the years, though she has conceded to having faced several delays due to sample clearances, among other things.

This past April, the mom-of-three took to X to discuss the highly anticipated album, as she revealed:

“The features on my album are really good. I don’t have a lot of features but I’m working with artists, some that I have worked before and some that I haven’t worked before. And the ones that I have not worked before, I feel like it’s gonna really, really surprise y’all."

Noting that “It’s such a vibe,” she said:

“I can tell y’all this, I’m 100 percent confident with this album,” she continued. “I just don’t think what I got is out there. That’s all I’mma say. I gave y’all some clues on my features, that’s it.”

Earlier this month, she took to Instagram Live to reveal that the album has been delayed yet again as she blamed her featured guests:

“I really need these f**king features,” she explained without namedropping anyone specific. “And it’s like I’m not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down. But it’s like come on now! I need that! I need that right now! Helloooo! Y’all don’t want to miss this opportunity. I’ll sing this s**t myself! But I really need y’all and I need y’all to hurry up and I love y’all. I feel like nobody would want to miss being on this album.”

The Bronx native also conceded to not feeling so confident about her past releases, though she has a good feeling about her sophomore album:

“These motherf**kers almost cried listening to my s**t. They were like ‘I feel like there’s no skips‘ […] It’s iconic. This album is so good. I put my whole p***y on it. I rapped with the bottom of my p***y, so hurry up!,” Bardi quipped while urging her collaborators to “not miss out on this moment.”

Cardi B has remained mum about who will be making a cameo on her highly-anticipated second album, though she has promised to give fans a hint soon. At the time of writing, the title and date of release also remains unclear.
