Dua Lipa just made a powerful move in her career, and it wasn't about music. The pop star has cut ties with her longtime manager, David Levy, after discovering that he was behind the leaked letter urging Glastonbury to drop the pro-Palestinian group Kneecap.
According to the Daily Mail, Dua Lipa's former manager was the first to sign a letter that pressed Michael Eavis, the festival founder, to remove the Irish rap group, who have been accused of backing Hezbollah militants, from the lineup.
An insider from the music industry told the outlet:
"Dua made sure through her people that David Levy wasn't working on her music any more. She is very openly pro-Palestine and that doesn't align with David."

In the email that was labeled "private and confidential," several signatories have also been exposed as leading Jewish industry figures. As David Levy's views don't appear to align with the singer's, she made the call to sever her ties with her long-standing rep.
The source went on:
"She views him as being a supporter of Israel's war in Gaza, and the terrible treatment of the Palestinians and that was made very clear through the letter that he signed and sent to Michael Eavis."
Dua Lipa has long been a vocal advocate for the Palestinian cause. In May last year, through an Instagram post, the "Don't Start Now" hitmaker criticized what she described as the "Israeli genocide" in Gaza. She also joined a few artists in protesting alleged "UK complicity in Gaza.”
As of writing, Dua Lipa remains in the same company, but is now being represented by a different agent.
Meanwhile, despite the leaked letter, Kneecap still performed at Glastonbury Festival in July.

At the time, the group was investigated by the authorities following their set, but later decided not to take further action due to "insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction for any offence."
Kneecap said that the investigation was a "political policing intimidation," adding:
"Every single person who saw our set knew no law was broken, not even close."
