Justin Bieber is reportedly waiting to shell out the millions of dollars he owes Scooter Braun.

The singer is reportedly relying on his wife, Hailey Bieber, to help out with his $31 million settlement with his former manager. A source told TMZ this Thursday, July 18, that the settlement stipulates that the singer won't be able to pay his dues until the model's $1 billion deal between her Rhode company and e.l.f. Cosmetics go through.

Marca has reported that the transaction between the two beauty brands is valued at $1 billion, becoming one of the largest in the industry this year. TMZ has reported that Hailey owns the majority of the shares, though Justin Bieber is also an investor, with his shares reportedly worth $50 million.

The model, 28, announced the sale on Instagram, per Page Six:

“When I launched @rhode in 2022, I always had big dreams for the company, and the most important thing to me is to keep bringing rhode to more spaces, places, and faces globally.”

Everything we know about Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun's settlement:

As for Braun and Bieber's settlement, it stems from an audit conducted this May by Braun and his company, HYBE. At the time, it was revealed that the singer had yet to shell out $26 million, which was a loan they had granted him after he cancelled on his Justice tour last minute.

Justin Bieber axed the remainder of his tour in 2022, citing mental health issues stemming from his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Justin Bieber also owed Scooter Braun $11 million in the form of back commissions, TMZ has reported. He also owed $8 million more, though Braun has since forgiven this amount.

In their settlement last week, it was decided that the SWAG hitmaker would pay Braun and Hybe back $26 million as well as $5.5 million—which is half of the back commissions amount—bringing the total up to $31.5 million.

Justin Bieber also reportedly earned $200 million after he sold his catalog 18 months ago. However, with lawyers, managers, taxes, and accountants eating most of it up, he reportedly does not have enough to pay his dues, TMZ has reported.

Marca has also reported that the singer has been blowing through his funds as of late, as a source said:

"He spent $300,000 just at Nobu during Coachella. He hasn't worked in a long time, and his spending is out of control."

However, a representative of Justin Bieber, who reportedly has a net worth of $300 million, per Page Six, also denied the notion that he was having money troubles:

"Any source claiming otherwise doesn't understand the entertainment industry or is simply trying to discredit Justin."

Braun and Bieber have been inseparable over the years until their eventual fallout in 2023. The former was the one to discover the singer on YouTube when he was just 12 years old. During an episode of The Diary of a CEO podcast last month, the music giant said of his former client:

“It’s not the same that it was. We had such extreme success, but I think he wanted to prove he could do it on his own—and I respect that.” He added, “I think you get to a point as a man where you want to show the world you can do it on your own and I completely respect that. I think at this point, that’s what he’s doing. And myself and everyone from the old team is rooting for him.”
