Olivia Rodrigo is calling foul on the White House. The pop star slammed the Trump administration on Instagram after one of her hit tracks was used in a video promoting self-deportation.

On Wednesday, Nov. 5, the White House and the Department of Homeland Security shared a clip on Instagram, which encourages those without legal status to self-deport to their countries of origin. The video also features the song, "all-american b***h," a track off Olivia Rodrigo's 2023 album Guts.

Then, on Friday, the "bad idea right?" hitmaker blasted the Homeland Security promotional video with a fiery comment.

"don’t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda"

The comment has since been deleted, with strong claims that the Homeland Security page itself removed or hid Olivia Rodrigo's scathing criticism.

Aside from the pop icon, online users also lit up social media to condemn the unauthorized use of Rodrigo's track.

"and it's actually real this time unlike last year when people photoshopped a fake comment under a Trump post. They're trying to hide her comment in the comments section now but if you follow her, her comment is highlighted on the reel," one wrote on X/Twitter.
"Oh we love when our faves stand up to Nazis. MAGA and the right in general, are obsessed with taking beloved things and twisting them to suit their fascist ideology. They have to do this because their side can’t create anything of value," another commented.
"Just wanna point out; this is now the 2nd time she’s slammed the administration for using her songs. We Stan a goddess," a fan revealed.
"they're so weird for using a song that criticizes american culture for running their american propaganda. reminds me of how conservative americans love Bruce Springsteen's born in the usa. zero media literacy," one replied.

Not the first time: Olivia Rodrigo reportedly reacted in disgust after Team Trump tapped her music

This isn't the first time Olivia Rodrigo has called out the unauthorized use of her song by President Donald Trump and his administration.

In November 2024, TikTok page Team Trump commemorated Trump's sophomore presidential win in a post and used Rodrigo's "deja vu" in it. The track was extracted shortly after the upload, while the original singer herself reportedly took to the comments section to express her disgust.

“ew don’t use my sound ever again ty.”

Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo's ICE comment comes months after she expressed her support for the immigrant communities across the United States.

“I’ve lived in L.A. my whole life and I’m deeply upset about these violent deportations of my neighbors under the current administration. L.A. simply wouldn’t exist without immigrants."

The "drivers license" singer has been a vocal advocate against immigration crackdowns by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), prompting her to voice her stand on the matter.

"Treating hardworking community members with such little respect, empathy, and due process is awful. I stand with the beautiful, diverse community of Los Angeles and with immigrants all across America. I stand for our right to freedom of speech and freedom to protest.”
