Rod Stewart has rescheduled his June 1 show at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, because of sudden illness. Fans were left frustrated when the news broke just hours before the performance was supposed to start. Rod, who is performing his Encore Shows residency, announced the change on social media. He apologized for the late notice and let fans know the show would now take place on June 10.

The singer wrote on Instagram story and X:

“I am sorry to inform you that I’m not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled toJune 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date. — Sir Rod”

This sudden change happened around 6 p.m. local time, even as many fans were already in Vegas or on their way to the venue. The 80-year-old singer shared on Instagram that he wasn’t feeling well enough to perform, but he assured everyone that tickets from the canceled show would still be valid for the new date.

The Colosseum released a similar statement explaining that the event was being rescheduled due to illness. Some fans reacted with concern and sent kind messages, but others were upset. Because the announcement came so late, many people could not modify or cancel their hotel bookings and transportation, leaving them disappointed.

The Colosseum said in a post shared on their Instagram account,

“We are sorry to inform that due to illness, Sir Rod Stewart’s show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10.”

This show was one of many Stewart planned during his long residency in Las Vegas. He is scheduled to perform again on June 5, 7, and 8. Later this month, he will return to the U.K. to prepare for a major moment in summer music.

Rod Stewart gears up for Glastonbury debut and busy summer tour

On June 29, Stewart will perform in the Legends Slot at the Glastonbury Festival. This marks his first time at the festival and he has hinted at some surprises for his set. These include reuniting with The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, who played with him in Faces, the legendary rock band, per Billboard.

Stewart fell ill soon after receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 American Music Awards. The event held in Las Vegas, featured an emotional moment where five of his children joined him on stage to honor his career, according to Smooth Radio. After the ceremony, he performed two out of three planned shows on May 29 and 31 but pulled out of his June 1 performance.

The next few months will be packed for Rod Stewart. When his Las Vegas residency wraps up in June, he will head out on a summer tour through the U.S. and Canada. The tour will stop at several outdoor venues before he heads back to Las Vegas in September to continue performing at his residency.

Rod Stewart hasn’t revealed details about his illness yet, but fans hope he gets better. The rock star is gearing up to perform again in the U.S. and other countries.
