Timbaland is facing backlash for using A.I technology in his music, and launching his own artificial intelligence label. Most recently, users online allegedly accused the artist of taking producer K Fresh Music's TikTok beat, along with another creator's verse and feeding it into his A.I. Suno platform to train his A.I model to replicate musical qualities.

He is also accused of taking the producer tag without permission. K Fresh took to Instagram to react on the incident saying,

"People keep sending me this. I still don't even know what to think about it."

The artist took to Instagram Live to address the controversy and admitted of using K Fresh's beat, saying that he was remixing it,

"(I'm) showing the power of a tool and how powerful it is. How it can flip songs to do remixes."

He added that Ghostface Killah also wanted to try his hands on the remixed beat and noted that he had been reaching out to K Fresh, so that he could send him the original beat,

"I don't get nothing from that, but that post said, 'Yo God can you send me that beat?' That ain't my beat."

More about Timbaland's use of A.I in his music

Timbaland has been a staunch supporter of using A.I in music and has also announced a record label created by artificial intelligence. Earlier Timbaland had launced a new AI-focused entertainment venture, called Stage Zero, and launched their first AI Artist, Ta Ta, as per a press release on June 5. In the press release, Timbaland said,

"She is not an avatar. She is not a character. Ta Ta is a living, learning, autonomous music artist built with AI. Ta Ta is the start of something bigger. She's the first artist of a new generation. A-Pop is the next cultural evolution, and Ta Ta is its first born."

He co-founded Stage Sezo with Rocky Mudaliar, knwon for producing, Inmate #1, Bisping, and Breaking Olympia.

While speaking to Rolling Stone, Timbaland noted that Ta Ta's voice originated from a Suno generation, "It came to a point where I'm like, 'Yo, this voice, it's amazing."

In another statement he said that he's not "producing tracks anymore" but rather producing "systems, stories, and stars from scratch." While speaking to Billboard in April, the producer praised the technology of the current generation saying that it takes him only two days to produce something that earlier took him three months.
