What was meant to be a triumphant return to the road for Todd Snider has taken a dark turn. The veteran troubador has cancelled all remaining tour dates following an alleged violent assault outside his hotel in Utah.

The singer-songwriter just kicked off his High, Lonesome And Then Some 2025 tour last Oct. 30 in Denver, and was scheduled for a show on Nov. 1 at the Commonwealth Room in Salt Lake City.

However, following the news of his late-night assault, the venue confirmed Todd Snider's concert postponement on social media only hours before it was set to take off.

“Due to injuries sustained in an incident last night, Todd Snider will be unable to perform at the Commonwealth Room tonight (Nov. 1) in SLC. We deeply apologize for the postponement and appreciate everyone’s understanding as he gets treated. More information on a new date will be available soon.”

The folk singer's label, Aimless, also released a statement to address the cancellation, explaining how "heartbroken" they are following the incident.

"We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 Tour dates. Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel."

The company continued:

"Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment. We hope to have more information on new dates soon. Aimless Inc."

Todd Snider's concert scheduled for tonight, Nov. 3, in Phoenix has been cancelled, alongside other shows throughout November, with stops in West Hollywood, San Francisco, Napa, Santa Cruz, Eugene, Portland, Seattle, Spokane, Missoula, and Bozeman.

Per his tour calendar, High, Lonesome And Then Some schedules for January to February 2026 remain unchanged. He is set to hold shows in Chattanooga, Knoxville, Charlotte, Ferdinandina Beach, Clearwater, Boca Raton, and Pelham.

Todd Snider reflects on latest album release: "If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention"

Todd Snider's 14-show run is in support of his latest album, High, Lonesome and Then Some, released on Oct. 17.

The LP runs for over 40 minutes and has nine tracks in total, including the "THE HUMAN CONDITION," "UNFORGETTABLE (WORST STORY EVER TOLD)," and "WHILE WE STILL HAVE A CHANCE."

Ahead of its release, Snider reflected on his "stripped-down, juke-joint album" that was slated for release with exclusive merch and photographs of the blues singer in his home. He said:

"Recently, I heard someone say ‘If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention,’ so I tried it and so far so good. These are songs seeking soul, soul mate, maker, making out and mercy. The muse for this record was the sound of it. We made it on purpose."
