Country music stars Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock almost came to blows in the latest chapter of their ongoing back and forth saga. Their feud almost turned ugly at the Born & Raised Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, where both musicians were tabbed to play amongst a host of other artists.
On September 13, the day of their respective shows, footage captured from the event and subsequently shared on social media captured the two titans of country in a disagreement while on opposites sides of a fence. Zach Bryan can be heard first taunting Adcock,
“Hey, do you want to fight like a man? Come open the gate.”
Later, Gavin Adcock also posted a clip of the fracas to his official Instagram. The video was overlayed with the following message,
“When you get death threats from Sack Cryin before you headline in his hometown.”
Adcock captioned the post in a similarly provocative manner, surely to get under Bryan's skin; he simply wrote, “Eat a Snickers, bro.”
As per PEOPLE, when online users pressed Adcock about the interaction he had the following response,
“Had a show to play for Oklahoma. Wasn’t going to jail over that Psycho.”
Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock’s feud - A timeline
The tension between the two Country music stars seems to stem from a tweet Gavin Adcock posted to X after an alleged incident with Zach Bryan and one of his fans. The tweet was in response to Zach Bryan not posing for a picture with one of his young fans,
"If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14 year old why do people idolize you? That kid was head over heels to meet you and spent/ parents spent a ton of money to see you. He’s got feeling too and a you’re a 'grown man' nearly 30. They’re the only reason you are around."
Objectively it seems Adcock has a point. Zach Bryan responded to Adcock’s tweet rather callously, but his replies (which deny any sort of responsibility) have since been deleted.
Then, on the August 20 episode of Rolling Stone's Nashville Now podcast, he continued to fire incendiary prose Bryan’s way,
"I think that Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life.”
Adcock later even went on to question if his rival Zach Bryan is even “really that great of a person.”
