Kali Uchis who collaborated with singer D4vd on the hit track Crashing in February 2025, has distanced herself from him in light of his Tesla situation. Kali Uchis made a comment on September 17, 2025, and revealed that D4vd real name David Anthony Burke is not her friend and that their song together which boasts over fifty million streams on Spotify will be taken down.

She wrote:

"Not my friend i did a song with him which is currently in the process of being taken down given todays disturbing news."

Kali Uchis has also unfollowed the 20-year-old singer.

Crashing was released as the third single from D4vid’s debut album WITHERED. In the track, the artists play the roles of two people in love who reassure each other that their love will endure no matter what comes their way.

The chorus encapsulates this:

"When the world comes crashin' down, I know where I'll stand/ Right next to my baby, keep holding my hand/ 'Cause the enemy may try to conquer and divide/ Well, I'll stay by your side every day and every night/ Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, do you, ooh-ooh-ooh/ Think we could ever fall out like everyone else does?/ No-oh-oh-oh-oh-ooh, we wo-oh-oh-on't/ Just hold me tight and don't you let go (Oh)"

More details on singer D4vd’s case

On September 8, 2025, police discovered a decomposing body in an abandoned Tesla registered to D4vd. TMZ reported that the Here With Me hitmaker wasn’t aware of his car’s whereabouts and was informed by the police.

The body found in the car was later identified as Celeste Rivas, a fifteen year old who went missing in April 2024. The deceased's mother told police and news outlets that her daughter was dating a guy named David before her disappearance.

Rivas had an index finger tattoo that matches another one on D4vid. The police are currently looking around the neighborhood were the Tesla was originally abandoned scouring for footage to identify who drove the car with the body.

TMZ shared a photo which showed the singer at a spot close to the deceased’s home some time before she went missing. Viral photos show singer D4vd and a girl who appears to be Celeste Rivas.

D4vd hasn’t been named as a suspect in the case.
