One Universe Festival is organized by Peaches, a South Korea-based production company and lifestyle brand focused on street car culture. The festival was first held in 2023 at the Sampyo site in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The 2023 edition featured performances by the likes of Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, aespa, and more.
This was followed by the festival’s second edition in 2024. In 2024, the festival moved to its current venue at the Seoul Grand Parking Lot in Seoul. The 2024 edition featured artists like Tyla, HI-LO, PH-1, and more.
Peaches, the organizer behind the festival, is heavily involved with K-pop, having collaborated with the likes of LE SSERAFIM, among others. One of the founding members of the team, Intaek Ryo, explained the concept of ‘One Universe’ in an exclusive interview with SSENSE on November 16, 2020:
"We are known in our own circles. But we want our love of cars to reach a younger, wider audience. We want car culture to become more approachable for everyone."
The founder continued:
"If you look into car culture, it’s broken into smaller subcultures like drifting, drag racing, supercars, vintage cars, mini cars, Japanese cars, European cars, et cetera. Fans of each of these cultures usually hate mixing together. Our goal is to bring these different groups in one place."
He later added:
"There is no Supreme or Stüssy for cars yet. Every iconic street brand is based on skate or surf culture, but not car culture. We have the thirst for our culture to be represented more. And we’ve only begun to scratch the surface."
One Universe Festival’s exact address is 955, Makgye-dong, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea. The festival is well connected via public transport, including metropolitan buses, province buses, and non-stop deluxe buses. There are also subways available to the area.
