More details on Hilary Duff’s new single

Hilary Duff first teased her official comeback in September after she signed with Atlantic Records.

She wrote on Instagram:

“New music… or something.”

In addition to releasing a new single, Hilary Duff will be dropping a docuseries chronicling her journey in making new music. Mature is Duff’s first single in ten years, following Sparks from her 2015 album Breath In. Breath Out.

“Embracing the ups, downs and everything in between, fans will ride shotgun as she balances raising a family, recording new music, live show rehearsals and preparing to perform on stage for the first time in over a decade,” Duff announced in a press release.

Sam Wrench, the director of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, and A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter, is expected to helm this one.

In an October interview with Variety, the Come Clean crooner spoke about her return to music.

“I always knew I was going to return to music. I needed to feel safe, and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100 percent ready. Honestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say.”

She continued:

“This album feels like the inner workings of my brain, and I really am so excited to connect with people again on that level, that very forward-facing level. You know it’s all for them. It’s just to impress them.”
