Tyler, The Creator released his latest album, DON'T TAP THE GLASS, on July 21, 2025. This was preceded by his eighth studio album, CHROMAKOPIA, nearly a year earlier on October 28, 2024. Recently, NFR Podcast made an X post asking fans of the singer to choose between the albums mentioned above:

The singer responded to this post with a message that objects to the comparison, stating:

"yall gotta stop doing this. everyone tho. it hasnt been 10 hours, just let it be what it is. a fun short upbeat urgent braggadocious album to a diary post about abortion and hair and aging and whatever else i was crying about lol......please just let it rock if you rock with it and if you dont then move the damn on lol."

Tyler, The Creator's ninth album is DON'T TAP THE GLASS

Tyler, The Creator's ninth album, DON'T TAP THE GLASS, consists of 10 tracks. The tracklist for the album is listed below:

  • Big Poe
  • Sugar On My Tongue
  • Sucka Free

  • Stop Playing with Me
  • Ring Ring Ring
  • Don't Tap That Glass / Tweakin

Tyler, The Creator explained the album's theme in a statement posted on social media after the album was released, alluding that the title refers to smartphones and social media and how that negatively affects one's natural expressions:

"I asked some friends why they dont dance in public and some said because of the fear of being filmed. I thought damn, a natural form of expression and a certain conection they have with music is now a ghost. It made me wonder how much of our human spirit got killed because of the fear of being a meme, all for having a good time."

Tyler, The Creator continued:

"I just got back from a ‘listening party for this album and man was it one of the greatest nites of my life, 300 people. No phones allowed....It was truly beautiful, I played the album front to back twice, it felt like that pent up energy finally got released and we craved the idea of letting more of it out there was a freedom that filled the room -"

Tyler, The Creator ended the statement by urging listeners to move around and not use their smartphones:

"-a ball of energy that might not translate to every speaker that plays this album but man did that room nail it. This album was not made for sitting still, dancing driving running any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it. Only at at full volume. Dont Tap The Glass."
