Drake has a listener in Taylor Davis. Taylor Davis was recently caught rapping Drake's verse on Travis Scott's song Sicko Mode, which played through the stadium speakers during Southern Miss's match against Mississippi State at the M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Davis was spotted mouthing every verse of Drake's verse.
This moment went viral, and the ESPN sideline reporter was asked about it on the SEC State of Mind podcast, with the reporter stating to Jason Campbell:
"You know what, it’s something that really surprises people about me that all I listen to is rap. I’m originally from a small town in Alabama, I went to Auburn, I live in Nashville, and I don’t listen to country music. I listen to rap and Hip-Hop. My memory is pretty good, so my lyrical prowess just comes out every now and then."
The reporter continued:
"Especially pregame when I’m getting in the zone or whatever. And unbeknownst to me, I was being recorded and then once I realized the DJ was recording me, I'm like, "Oh my gosh, You Think This is Cool? You like this song? Yeah, Its Gone viral. So, I'm a little embarrased, I'm not gonna lie. Because that is a little cringe."
The reporter added:
"But I am who I am and you gotta do what keeps you lose before a game. I get nervous before broadcast. You know, so, I just had to vibe out. And Yeah but I try really hard to give hot takes and do my job really well and to know ball and that's what goes viral. No, No. not any of my, you know, really compelling sports analysis or interviews. No, No. Its going to be me rapping."
Sicko Mode is a song from Travis Scott's Astroworld album. Drake has also collaborated with Travis Scott on several other tracks, including Portland, Company, Pussy & Millions, and Meltdown.
Drake recently premiered another song from his upcoming album ICEMAN
Drake recently held his third livestream, ICEMAN episode 3, on September 5, 2025, via his official YouTube channel. During the livestream, the singer premiered another song, That's Just How I Feel. The 3-minute and 43-second-long song is one of the several tracks the singer livestreamed from the album in recent months.
In the livestream, the singer also paid a tribute to Giorgio Armani. The livestream featured Yeat and Kevin Durant, as well as the song Parole Parole by Mina. In the two previous livestreams, the singer debuted three untitled tracks, as well as a collaborative track with Central Cee, titled Which One.
The livestream had mixed reactions from other rappers, with Kai Cenat calling it out as a 'waste of his time' in one of his livestreams:
"Biggest waste of my f*king time. The biggest waste of my god ..damn... RIP to Armani. RIP to Armani. RIP to Armani. Yo, yo, ..yo, yo, I can't fake it! I can't fake it! That was a*s I can't ..I can't fake it! I actually can't fake it. Like, I actually can't fake it. That was so a*s I can't fake ..I can't fake it. Oh, my god! We just wasted an hour and a half! Wow! Okay!."
Drake's livestream was also seemingly dissed by Rick Ross, who quoted Kai Cenat's opinion on the matter. ICEMAN is currently scheduled to be released sometime in late 2025.
