Snoop Dogg's beloved French bulldog, Jeulz, has passed away. The singer shared the news of the tragic death of his dog on June 12, 2025, in an Instagram post that shows the singer and his dog out on a car ride before the latter passed away. The post was shared with the caption thanking Wiz Khalifa for gifting him Juelz:

"Rip @juelzbroadus 😢 thank wiz for giving him to me"

Wiz Khalifa gave Juelz to Snoop Dogg back in 2014 on the occasion of his 43rd birthday, as per an article by TMZ. The rapper's dog would have been more than 11 years old.

According to the Dogster website, the French Bulldog has an average life expectancy between 10 years and 14 years. The rapper has not elaborated on the cause of death for Juelz as of the writing of this article.

This aligns them with the lifespans of the larger dogs. The French Bulldog, in general, has high nutritional needs, and can be affected if they live in a house with smokers.

Snoop Dogg's Juelz was a celebrity on his own

Snoop Dogg's Juelz is a celebrity in his own right, with thousands of followers on his Instagram page. The account primarily features a mix of posts where Snoop Dogg is seen with Juelz, engaged in various activities. Juelz frequently accompanied the rapper on trips, including on campaigns for Save Our Shelter Dogs, as well as while in the company of Snoop's friends and guests.

The rapper has many other pets, including 10 other dogs as well as 2 cats. The cats are of the Siamese breed and are named Frank Sinatra and Miles Davis.

The ten dogs include another bulldog called Frank, pitbulls called Lil Snoop and Mamba, a chocolate labradoodle, a boxer dog, a Cane Corso dog, and more.

In addition to his own pets, Snoop Dogg is also known for working frequently with dog shelters. He has also founded a dog clothing brand, known as the Snoop Doggie Doggs. The rapper has also reportedly funded the vegan food company, Original Foods, and has worked as a brand ambassador for Beyond Meat, another company that specialises in plant-based meat substitutes.

In an exclusive interview with Nardwuar in 2023, Snoop also revealed he had a pet cockroach named Gooch. As stated in an article published by People on July 14, 2023, Snoop Dog stated:

"Gooch used to live with me. In my apartment, I had a roach that we couldn't kill. We tried to kill the muthaf----a when we first moved in, and he wouldn't die, so we called him 'The Gooch."

The rapper continued:

"He just kept getting bigger and bigger. I stayed in that apartment for like about six, seven months — cuz grew to the size of about a whole dollar bill. … We used to leave food out for him and everything."

Snoop Dogg has recently released his twenty-first studio album, Iz It a Crime?, on May 21, 2025. The album is the first new release since via Death Row Records, with distribution by the Gamma label.

The album features a total of 21 tracks and features guest appearances by Jane Handcock, Charlie Bereal, Stresmatic, Wiz Khalifa, J-Black, Akeem Ali, Pharrell Williams, as well as Kon Artis, Blaqthoven, Sexyy Red, Tonio Armani, and October London.
