Welsh singer-songwriter MARINA has joined the 'No Music For Genocide' campaign.

It is a cultural boycott of Israel that calls on artists to remove their music from streaming platforms in the country.

The movement began in September 2025. It has gained notable traction across the global music scene. More than 1,000 artists and labels are joining to block their work from Israel in protest against the alleged genocide in Gaza. MARINA's decision to join the campaign arrives as her "PRINCESS OF POWER" era kicks off.

MARINA's world tour is currently moving through North America. The singer has blocked her latest album in Israel and also reportedly requested her former label Atlantic Records to do the same for her earlier releases. Fans reacted, saying:

"That’s a bold move. She is taking a real stand for what she believes in and whether people agree or not, it’s rare to see artists put principles over profit in times like this."

Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to announce that,

"MARINA has joined the ‘No Music For Genocide’ boycott, blocking her latest album ‘PRINCESS OF POWER’ from streaming in Israel. She has also requested her former label, Atlantic Records, to block other releases."

Netizens were notably quick to weigh in on the comment section of the X post as they stated their opinions. Below are some of their remarks:

"The "No Music For Genocide" boycott, launched in September 2025, involves artists geo-blocking their music from streaming in Israel to protest its military actions in Gaza and the West Bank. Over 1,000 have joined, including Massive Attack, Lorde, IDLES, and now MARINA, who blocked her new album 'PRINCESS OF POWER' and asked her label to do the same for past releases. Supporters see it as solidarity; critics argue it harms cultural exchange.", detailed an X user.
"She sang about power. Now she wields it. MARINA blocks her music in Israel and turns her discography into a tool of resistance. ", commented another.
"Marina was one of the first celebrities to speak out anti-genocide after october 7", noted a third.

Others also chimed in:

"When artists silence their art for justice, the world hears the message louder than any lyric.", declared a netizen.
"Bold move. Using art as protest has historical precedence, though the effectiveness of cultural boycotts remains debated among peace activists.", stated another.
"So people (many of whom, by the way, aren't to blame and have nothing to do with what's happening) can be left without their favorite artist's music? It seems so extreme to me and it even saddens me.", added a third.
