Jennifer Lopez addressed critics of her beauty brand JLo Beauty in a video shared on Instagram on July 20, 2025. The 55-year-old superstar who rocked brown hair with blonde highlights, nude makeup, and a tank top, read aloud some of the comments about her beauty brand and responded to them.
One comment asked if she used her products daily or just for advertising purposes. The actress/ singer/ seemed to find the comment amusing as she laughed before answering:
“That’s funny. I’m literally standing in my actual bathroom right now. No, I use it. I use it every day."

The singer/actress/dancer answered more questions from fans and followers. One message read that J-Lo’s moisturizer “feels like silk.”
The star replied that the goal was for the product to feel soft against the skin while being healthy to use.
"We want it to be like cashmere for your face, but make it clinically tested."
Another comment labeled J-Lo’s products as too expensive, to which the Get on the Floor hitmaker replied:
"Listen, I get it. Your skin is something that you have to show up with every single day," she continued, "So, if there is a little bit of splurge in you, I would say do it on skincare, without a doubt."
A satisfied customer heaped praise on the skincare brand, describing it as not just another celebrity brand but one that gives results.
Jennifer Lopez quipped:
"Yeah, that was the point. You thought, what? I came to play? No."
On the subject of celebrity brands, a Netizen added that they thought that celebrity skincare wasn’t worth the hype.
Jennifer Lopez replied:
"Some of it isn't. It's luxury skincare that is clinically tested and trust me, I don't cut corners."
Lopez praised her product:
“I have been using this serum for two weeks and I have become obsessed. Yeah. It will not let you down.”
JLo launched her eponymous skincare brand in 2021 after previously teasing its release some months before. In a December 2020 interview with People, Jennifer Lopez shared that she launched JLo Beauty in response to constant questions about her skincare routine and products:
"I think I've been thinking about it for about 20 years. Everywhere I went, I felt like everybody was always asking me about my skin. And as I got more mature, the questions came more often,"
She stated that she was “obligated” to launch a skincare for those who needed to know.
