“That's overhyped!”: Internet reacts as GloRilla features on Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco’s deluxe album

GloRilla will feature in Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's deluxe album I Said I Love You First….. And You Said It Back. The engaged couple released the original album, "I Said I Love You First," on March 21, 2025, featuring guest appearances from Gracie Abrams, J Balvin, and Tainy, among others.

They are still in their collaborative era and have recruited some of the hottest acts in the industry to extend their debut album. Selena Gomez announced the deluxe version of "I Said I Love You First" on April 30, 2025, on Instagram, accompanied by a Polaroid photo of herself and Benny Blanco lounging in sweaters.

She captioned it:

"The deluxe version of my album with @itsbennyblanco is called "I Said I Love You First... And You Said It Back," and it's out this Friday, 5/2! There are some new songs, some favorites you might recognize, and reimagined songs from the original album. Can't wait for you to hear them!"

She also announced that a music video for the single "Talk" will be released on May 1, 2025, at 9 pm PT. Selena Gomez's deluxe album with Benny Blanco will feature appearances from Glorilla, alongside Cigarettes after Sex and DJ Slink.

The "Lose You To Love Me" hitmaker also asked fans to pick out prom outfits for the album, leaving speculation as to whether her prom-themed birthday party will be included in the album's visuals.

Music news outlet @PopCrave shared that GloRilla will feature on Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's upcoming album, but not all the X users were impressed.

“That’s overhyped! GloRilla feature doesn’t guarantee a better album.”

More X users shared the same sentiments:

“This is so unexpected, hello,” @kiwola expressed.

“I love glo so bad, but this is so…,” @eternal_grande added.

“why???? The OG album didn’t even perform that well……a deluxe is pointless. Wtf,” @grandedaysahead commented.

Notwithstanding the negative comments, fans expressed excitement over GloRilla's collaboration with the couple:

Others explained that GloRilla was featured in the outro of Cowboy in the original album:

“Y’all, apparently she’s already featured on the Cowboy outro (little did we realize). I hope she’s a verse for that song,” @BbyGrlAaliyah noted.

“She’s already on the album, so it makes sense; how is this weird to people?” @umokwhataboutit asked.
