The Darkness expand 2026 Australia & New Zealand tour: New date, venue, and more explored

The Darkness are officially extending their trek in Australia. The British rock group has added an extra Melbourne show to their 2026 Australia and New Zealand tour following reported overwhelming ticket demand. This new date is set for Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Forum Melbourne. It will now wrap up the run.

The announcement comes following sold-out shows in Hobart and Melbourne. The tour is all set to kick off on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in Auckland. It will cover multiple cities across New Zealand and Australia before ending in Melbourne. This Australia and New Zealand leg is part of The Darkness's Dreams on Toast world tour. It is supporting their latest album of the same name. The record was released in March 2025.

Dreams on Toast featured tracks like "I Hate Myself" and "The Longest Kiss." It followed their 20th anniversary celebrations of their debut album, Permission to Land.

The Darkness took to their official Instagram page to announce the tour extension, captioning:

"Darkness enthusiasts of Melbourne and the surrounding areas! We are delighted to announce a 2nd show at the Forum on Sunday 8th March 2026 as part of our Australia and New Zealand tour!"

The Darkness were formed in Lowestoft, England, by brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins with bassist Frankie Poullain. They were later joined by drummer Rufus Taylor. They have collected BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award so far.
