Morgan Wallen has once again topped the Billboard 200. His new album, I'm the Problem, debuted at No. 1, his third chart-topping release. Moreover, it is also the biggest debut week for any album in 2025 so far, with 493,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

On social media, many fans are drawing comparisons to another chart-topping artist: Taylor Swift. One fan jokingly dubbed Morgan Wallen

"He the male Taylor Swift."

Morgan Wallen first broke out with his 2018 debut, If I Know Me. His 2021's Dangerous: The Double Album spent 10 weeks at No. 1. Now, in 2025, I'm the Problem becomes his third No. 1 album.

The new 37-track album was announced in March. Before the album's official release, eight tracks from the album had charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Six of them landed in the top 10. Notably, "Love Somebody" debuted at No. 1, and the title track hit No. 2 earlier this year. According to reports, no country album before I'm the Problem had scored that many top 10 hits ahead of its release.

Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) handle to share:

"'I'm The Problem' by Morgan Wallen debuts at #1 on this week's Billboard 200 with 493k units sold. It marks his third #1 album on the chart."

Fans did not waste time to weigh in on the comment section of the post as they voiced their thoughts on Morgan Wallen's latest achievement. Below are what some of them had to say:

"He is just a white, country-style cornfield cowboy who happens to appeal to a wide range of age groups. That's why his sales are high-do you really think people like him just because he is selling vinyls at low prices?", asked an X user.
"Literally nobody cares about him, just like nobody cares about Benson Boone, and like nobody should care about Billboard ever since digital streams started being converted and tracked as "sales" lol.", penned another.
"Morgan Wallen dominates Billboard 200 again—‘I’m The Problem’ smashes with 493k units, securing his powerful third", hyped a third.

Others also chimed in:

"I literally never hear this guys music on the radio or tiktok and I barely hear about him but he always manages to debut super high with huge numbers it does not make sense to me", opined a netizen.
"His album is really good. I have also bought both LE vinyls he has put out for this album. Kiss Her in Front of You is such a savage song. It's raw and full of emotion. Superman is such a sweet song to his son where he owns his mistakes in life. It really is a good album.", lauded another.
"That's because they had like 40 f*cking copies at my target and only four of hurry up tomorrow, just overconsumption", commented a third.

In terms of numbers, I'm the Problem racked up 493,000 equivalent album units in the week ending May 22, 2025, according to Luminate. Of those, 357,000 came from streaming, totaling 462.63 million on-demand official streams.

Pure album sales were coming in at 133,000. Vinyl sales accounted for 48,000 of those sales.
