The Billboard 200 albums chart has seen some major movement this week, with Travis Scott's Jackboys 2 climbing to the top of the rankings. The album has dethroned Morgan Wallen's "I'm the Problem" album and clinched the top spot by selling a total of 232k units since its release last week. Justin Bieber's "SWAG," which was also released last week, sits pretty at #2.

Wallen's "I'm the Problem" had been dominating the charts for the past several weeks, and that makes the feat achieved by Jackboys 2 all the more impressive. The album has also broken several records in the process, capping off its debut week by collecting the second-largest number of album units for a rap album this year.

Travis Scott had been teasing the album as a follow-up to the original ‘JACKBOYS’ for several years, and the 17-track album has been received well by fans as well.

Fan reactions to Travis Scott's chart-topping album

Jacboys 2's release has been met with a great response from the fans, and the positive reception is also backed by its commercial performance. Travis Scott has spared no effort in making the album as big as possible and has also roped in several artists, such as GloRilla, Kodak Black, 21 Savage, and others, to collaborate on the album.

While Jackboys 2 has attracted a huge number of eyeballs, the album also has its fair share of detractors. Such critics have claimed that the album has not been able to live up to the hype, even though it has been commercially successful. The latest update, however, has been lapped up by the artist's fans, who have been commending the album on social media.

One fan exclaimed:

"The real goat"

Another fan commented:

"Sheesh, Trav really can't be stopped huh"

Another fan gushed:

"No clout chasing just music well deserved trav"

Yet another fan wrote:

"Smash hit by the king of autotune"

Some fans refused to buy into the hype and pointed towards the presence of other possible circumstances that contributed to the album's chart success. Some users are already speculating about whether ‘JACKBOYS 2’ will see a massive drop in its second week, while Justin Bieber's fans also had their say on social media.

One fan remarked:

"Shoutout to artists like justin bieber who chart with MUSIC, not merchandise loopholes"

Another fan quipped:

"Them bots doing my boy la flame justice"

Despite mixed reviews, Travis Scott’s commercial dominance shows no signs of slowing down. Other acts rounding up the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart include Clipse's Let God Sort Em Out, ATEEZ’s GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3, GIVĒON’s BELOVED, and SZA’s SOS.
