According to a report on CBS News, the event, "Bodega Baddie pop-up," took place at Cloud Deli on West 159th Street in New York. It was a part of the promotion of Cardi B’s upcoming album, Am I the Drama? which is set to be released on September 19, 2025.
Videos posted online showed the singer on the roof of a car in the middle of a street, surrounded by a swarm of her fans. In some of the clips, she was seen dancing, and in others she held a baby in her arms. A fan took to X to express his views and said:
“The Reigning Queen of Hip Hop/Rap! You deserve all the love.”

“I wanna see all my BODEGA BADDIES tomorrow! Meet me Saturday (9/13) at Cloud Deli in NYC at 1pm for a quick lil pop up turn up!!!”
Consequently, hundreds of her fans arrived at the event in New York. This is what some of them had to say:

After the pop-up, Cardi B took to her social media accounts to express her gratitude to fans for arriving at the event. In a video, she can be heard saying:
“That pop-up was insane. I think we underestimated that pop-up, but that pop-up means a lot to me because it's like, I always tell you guys this, Washington Heights is like my second hood.”
She added that she used to live on 157th Street and Broadway, and added:
“To see so many people pop up for me in the blocks that I would walk up and down ... It means a lot to me, like more than you guys could ever imagine. It's just such a good feeling ... I'm just, I'm very grateful.”
Am I the Drama? is the sophomore album of the 32-year-old singer. She released her first album, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018 through Atlantic Records.
