Olivia Rodrigo reportedly "set a record" when a "massive crowd" turned up to watch her headlining performance at Lollapalooza 2025, according to ABC 7 Chicago. The singer performed on Friday, August 1, marking her debut on the second day of the grand music festival held at Grand Park in Chicago.

The ABC 7 Chicago report stated:

Olivia Rodrigo "set a record with a massive crowd of people showed up to see her perform on Friday."

Rodrigo performed a mix of her songs from her Grammy-winning album, SOUR. Billboard reported that she was joined by Weezer on stage, and together they performed, Buddy Holly and Say It Ain't So.

The news of Rodrigo's successful concert at Lollapalooza was reported by the verified X handle of Pop Tingz, too.

"Olivia Rodrigo reportedly broke the record for highest headlining attendance in Lollapalooza history," stated an unconfirmed report by @ThePopTingz.

During her concert, Rodrigo shared with the crowd that Weezer was the first band ever she saw live as she introduced them on the stage. Her performance drew wide reactions from the netizens as well.

The netizens reacted with awe and excitement as Olivia Rodrigo set a record with the crowd she drew at Lollapalooza 2025. Celebrating the moment, they took to social media to express themselves.

“The way ppl downplay olivia’s crowd at lolla is wild… like be serious. the entire park packed out, lights up, every lyric shouted. she brought them,” a user wrote on X.
“Can’t wait for the next show,” another fan added.
“everytime #they drag her she ends up breaking a new record,” a user commented.

However, some others held a different view.

According to Billboard, Olivia Rodrigo opened her performance on August 1 with the songs Obsessed and Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl from her 2023 album, Guts. Some of her other songs she performed at the festival included Driver’s License, Traitor, Love Is Embarrassing, and Bad Idea, right?

Her Lollapalooza 2025 appearance follows the conclusion of her Guts World Tour that began in February 2024 and ended in July 2025.

The Lollapalooza festival included more than 170 artists who performed across eight stages. The music event officially kicked off on July 31, 2025, and concluded on August 3, 2025, as per its official site.

The lineup included top artists such as Luke Combs, Gracie Abrams, and Tyler, the Creator (on Day 1), Olivia Rodrigo, Korn and DJO (on Day 2), Clairo, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Twice (on Day 3), and Sabrina Carpenter, A$AP Rocky, and The Marias (on Day 4).
