The Sword expands 2025 Warp Riders 15th Anniversary tour: Presale code, new dates, venues, and more explored

The Sword have officially announced an expanded leg of their Warp Riders 15th Anniversary Tour. They have added a new run of fall 2025 dates across the United States.

After initially announcing a summer leg that is set to begin in mid-August, the Austin-based heavy rock band will now continue the trek through late October 2025. It will give fans across the country more chances to see the group perform their beloved 2010 concept album in full.

The fall extension will kick off on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and wrap up on Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. The newly added shows follow an earlier leg that runs from August 17 to August 30, 2025.

Supporting acts for the expanded run include Rickshaw Billie's Burger Patrol, who will appear on all dates. On the other hand, Pink Fuzz will support the earlier part of the tour through October 11, 2025, and Moon Destroys will join in from October 13, 2025, onward.

The Sword took to their official Instagram handle to share the trek extension. The post read:

"Warp Riders : The 15th Anniversary Tour Part II. Tickets on sale this Friday, July 11th at 10AM local. Specials guests : @rickshawbillieandtheboys (all dates) @pinkfuzzband (9/27-10/11) & @moondestroys (10/13 - 10/26)."

The tour comes in celebration of Warp Riders, The Sword's third studio album. The album was recently remastered and reissued for Record Store Day.

The Sword was formed in 2003 in Austin, Texas. The band is fronted by JD Cronise, with Kyle Shutt on guitar, Bryan Richie on bass, and Santiago Vela on drums. Cronise mentioned:

"This is probably the only chance people will have to see us perform the entire album, so don't miss out!"

The Sword went on hiatus in 2018 but reunited in 2023. Their recent return to the stage, including the Levitation Festival, was met with a relatively enthusiastic reception from fans. According to Kyle Shutt,

"I can't tell you what it means to see everyone's positive reception. It feels so good to see people out there almost more enthusiastic about the band than ever — it's something we will never take for granted."

In a recent press statement, Cronise also opened up about The Sword's reunion, speaking:

"We know each other, we are comfortable. It's just kind of like putting on a comfortable pair of sneakers. Levitation was a great show… it went really well."

A Live Nation presale for select newly announced The Sword dates is officially set to begin on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time. Fans need to use the code LIGHTS to access that.

General ticket sales for all shows will begin on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster and the official website of The Sword.
