Former One Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are officially set to reunite for a new Netflix documentary series. The project is currently in production. It will follow the two former bandmates on a road trip across America.

The upcoming docuseries is slated to be launched in 2026. The director of the project is Nicola Marsh, who is known for Child Star, Song Exploder, and Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story. It is being produced by Campfire Studios.

Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik first met in 2010 during The X Factor auditions. Along with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne, they were grouped by Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger to form One Direction.

In 2015, Malik departed from the band. The group continued as a four-piece before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik were rarely seen together until Payne's funeral in 2024. In January 2025, Louis Tomlinson was spotted attending Malik's Stairway to the Sky tour stop in Los Angeles.

Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are also preparing for individual live performances. Malik will begin his first-ever Las Vegas residency in January 2026.
