In Dead feat Summer Walker, the Bodak Yellow rapper addresses her haters and reminds everyone of her achievements. The song begins with Summer Walker in the introduction. The White Tee singer continues into the chorus, where she asserts her position in the industry:

"I took that demon to thе ride, I'm goin' fast (Fast)/ Mirror, mirror, who the baddest b****? She looking back/ I know these b****** in my shadow feel so cold/ I don't think these b****** know/ I want they heads."

Cardi B enters with a rap verse addressing industry beef and her hiatus from music. Dead utilizes theatrics in the visuals, bold lyrics and a trap production to create a hook that resonates with listeners.

"Can't compete with me, I'm not the one/ I tell hoes to suck my d***, they put they hair up in a bun/ I let these b****** see, I should've left these h*** with nothin/ 'Never smart to beef with me, what can I say? These h*** be dumb."
