"I wanted to have music out there that felt like who I am right now. I wanted something very aggressive and loud and summer-banger worthy. I needed to say what I said in ‘Mr. Media’ and let those ideas out before the album came."

The singer continued:

'We Wanna Party’ is meant to be a bridge to the album - and when the album comes, it’s going to be such a totally different vibe than what people are expecting."

The singer also briefly talked about the difference in recording this album and the last, stating:

"I had more time to work on this album than I did the first, so I have a lot of songs. It feels really current - this time, I’m living what I’m singing, and it feels way more personal. Way more like me."

In another interview with Billboard for the March issue of the publication, the singer stated that the album will be out in 2025:

"New album. I’ve changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to with how fast I had to adapt to everything. I don’t think it’s going to be the same energy [as Tyla] at all, especially with what I’ve started making. It’s different, but also still Tyla."

The singer released her debut album, Tyla, in March 2024. More recently, aside from her mixtape, the singer has also collaborated with Travis Scott on the track PBT from his new album, Jackboys.
