More details on Kesha's upcoming album, Period.

Period, Kesha's sixth studio project, is scheduled to hit airwaves on July 4, 2025, through the singer's eponymous record label, Kesha Records. The album will comprise eleven tracks, including Freedom, Delusional, Cathedral, and Red Flag.

The TikTok hitmaker has released three tracks from the album: Yippee-Ki-Yay, Joyride, and Delusional. Joyride, Period’s lead track, dropped on July 4, 2024. The Electropop single promotes themes of Independence, self-confidence, and female assertiveness.

The first verse conveys the message:

"Are you a man? 'Cause I’m a b****/ I'm already rich, just looking for that (Mm)/ This party sucks, I'm ’bout to ditch/ Don't-don't-don't-don't even try to gi-give me sh**/ I've earned the right to be-be like this/ Oh, you say you love me? (That's funny)/ Well, so do I,"

Joyride was co-written by Kesha, Kevin Hickey, and Madison Love. The next single in the chronology is Delusional, written by Kesha alongside Madison Love and Kevin Hickey.

The pop song was released on November 29, 2024, as the sophomore single from the Period album. Delusional is a break-up song that describes the singer embracing optimism after a failed relationship, rather than feel heartbroken.

The pre-chorus holds the essence of the song:

"Packed up my suitcase, a ticket one-way/ No tears on my face (Not even one)/ Thanks for the heartbreak, it gets my bills paid/ You just keep chasin' the sun,"

Yippee-Ki-Yay is centred on themes of success, spontaneity, freedom, and self-worth.

"The chorus encapsulates this:

B****, I just got a brand new car/ Hose me down at the trailer park/ We lit up like a bonfire/ Singing yippee-ki-yay, yippee-ki-ya-ya/ B**** (B****), I just got a brand new start/ Call the cops, baby, kumbaya/ We lit up like a bonfire/ Singing yippee-ki-yay, yippee-ki-ya-ya,"

Yippee-Ki-Yay, featuring T-Pain, is Kesha's most recent release, which dropped on March 27, 2025. The country-pop single was penned by a host of writers, some of whom include Kesha, T-Pain, and Blu June.

In a March 24, 2025, interview with People, Kesha described the Period album as one that showcases different sides of her.
