Congratulations are in order for Alex Warren, whose hit song Ordinary has reached 1 billion streams on Spotify. It is his first song to achieve the milestone, and he has officially joined the “The Spotify billions club,” whose members include Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Ed Sheeran.

@Pop Crave shared news of Ordinary’s one billion stream mark, bringing mixed reactions.

An X user seemed to think that the sheer number of streams was unjustified and stated:

“We don’t care, this is pure fraudulent.”

Others shared the same sentiment on X:

“And how many streams excluding bots?” A Netizen asked.
“A big hit and I’ve never heard of it. Go figure,” another chimed in.
“Everyone and their moms entering the billions club lately,” a third stated.

Fans praised Warren for achieving such a milestone.

“One billion streams is no small feat. Congratulations to him,” a fan gushed.
“Some songs aim for charts, others for immortality. Alex's "Ordinary" hitting 1 billion streams proves the title was anything but. A billion plays later, it's extraordinary,” Another praised.
“His debut song has opened a whole new chapter for him,” another added.

“I released this song 7 months ago and never thought this would happen,” Alex Warren says as he celebrates Ordinary reaching 1 billion Spotify streams

Alex Warren, who recently got the MTV VMA Best New Artist Award, celebrated his latest win on his Instagram Story, saying:

“I released this song 7 months ago and never thought this would happen. I wrote this song about falling in love and how no one does in this generation. I wrote it for my wife.”

He added:

“I’m so happy that out of all my songs this was the first to do it. Just thank you, thank you, thank you. 12-year-old me is definitely smiling, and I know my parents are too. I love you guys

The lead single from Alex Warren’s debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, is Ordinary. The Chamber pop song peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and remained there for ten non-consecutive weeks. It topped the Billboard Global 200 for ten weeks and was the number one song in over twenty countries.
