Congratulations are in order for singer Tori Kelly and her husband, André Murillo, as the couple is expecting their first child. The Paper Hearts singer, who got married to the basketball player in 2018, revealed to People that the year 2025 had come with breakthroughs for her career-wise and in her family:
"This year has already been full of highs — getting to perform in stadiums all summer, writing the most personal songs of my career, and now getting to start a family with my amazing husband."
The 32-year-old singer added that she was grateful for the gift and was looking forward to meeting her baby:
"We are just so grateful for what’s to come and can’t wait to meet this little gift from God."
To spice up the pregnancy announcement, Kelly released a video teaser of her new song, titled Never Alone. The video featured Kelly and her husband on the beach as they embraced each other and shared quiet moments.
The song’s lyrics read:
“Only you know me / Mind and my body / Riding with you down this road / We got forever to go / When we get closer / And when I hold ya / You make it feel just like home.”
It continues:
“And there’s no one here but you and me / We’ve been through it / Yeah, we been everywhere and in between / Yeah, yeah / Making the complicated easy / Felt every kind of feeling / Passed every test / Boxes, checked / I’m ready for what comes next / Let’s make a baby."
More about Tori Kelly and André Murillo's relationship as they announce their first pregnancy
Tori Kelly and André Murillo have kept their relationship and marriage relatively low-profile. They met in 2016 and got married in 2018 in a private ceremony.
Tori Kelly celebrated her first anniversary and gave a special interview to People, praising her husband and describing him as "the best". She added that her marriage had taught her about herself and had forced her to grow as a person:
“He’s the best. Once you have your person, it’s like, we’re together for real now. Then you just get to learn about each other and see the not so pretty parts of a person. I think I’ve learned a lot about myself too, and what I need to work on. It has forced me to look inward, so it’s overall just growth.”
Tori Kelly is currently on Ed Sheeran’s European tour as the opening act. She recently marked ten years of her album Unbreakable Smile with a new version of I Was Made For Loving You featuring Sheeran.
