The Gonna Love Me singer, Teyana Taylor, has been making waves on social media after she dropped the trailer of her new album, Escape Room, on her Instagram handle.

This will be Teyana's first album since her last 2020 album titled The Album, following which she announced her retirement from music. As soon as the trailer of the new album dropped, fans and netizens were equally shocked and thrilled, and they took to social media to express their thoughts.

The album is a multifaceted endeavor, with Taylor not only starring but also writing, directing, and producing the album through her production company, The Aunties, as per That Grape Juice.

Escape Room will combine a visual album with a companion short film. The film has a post-apocalyptic or thriller romance kind of vibe and is centered around the theme of healing and growth, along with experiences of heartbreak in love and friendships. The visuals shown in the trailer are dramatic, with Taylor engulfed in flames, sharing intimate moments with Aaron, exchanging vows with Stanfield, and eating a cake and dancing.

Other than Escape Room, fans will also be seeing Taylor star in the thriller film, Straw by Tyler Perry, which will be released on Netflix on June 6, 2025. She will also be seen in the action comedy film One Battle After Another, set to release on September 26, 2025.
