Travis Scott has seemingly responded to Pusha T's diss track "So Be It" in his new album JACKBOYS 2. La Flame released the sequel to the original album earlier today, and he has fired back at Pusha T with some choice words on his track “CHAMPAIN & VACAY."
The track comes just a few weeks after album host Bun B had warned fans to expect a cutting reply from Travis Scott to Pusha T, and the former has now responded in kind. In the track titled “CHAMPAIN & VACAY", the Antidote-famed star has seemingly taken shots of his own at Pusha T by saying:
"Yeah, man, I swear these old n***as kill me / Know my YNs feel me / They just want the real me / Blue Bugatti, I'm dodging TMZ / Made a hundred off pushing T's / Now my phone on DND"
Travis Scott's latest track comes just a few weeks after Pusha’s diss on La Flame, in which he took direct aim at the rapper by questioning his loyalty and authenticity in the industry. As per HotHipHop News, Pusha made references to Scott in his track "So Be It," the lyrics of which are as such:
"You cried in front of me, you died in front of me / Calabasas took your b***h and your pride in front of me / Her Utopia had moved right up the street / And her lip gloss was popping, she ain't need you to eat / The 'net gon' call it the way that they see it / But I got the video, I can share and A.E. it / They wouldn't believe it, but I can't unsee it / Lucky I ain't TMZ it, so be it, so be it."
What caused the friction between Travis Scott and Pusha T?
Pusha opened up about the incidents that ticked him off against Scott in an interview with GQ, which was published last month, in which he disclosed the roots of the feud to be an incident that occurred in Paris in 2023.
As per Pusha, he was also working on his album "Clipse" at the time, and during the album recording sessions, Travis Scott allegedly barged in on the session to hold a playback session for his Utopia album. This left a bad taste in Pusha T's mouth, and the matters were compounded even more when Scott left out Drake's verses from the song that referenced Pharrell Williams.
Pusha also addressed the incident in the interview with GQ, and he summed up his thoughts on Scott by saying:
"He (Travis) don’t have no picks, no loyalty to nobody. He’ll jump around whatever he feels is hot or cling onto whatever he feels is hot. But you can play those games with those people. We’re not in your mix. Keep your mix over there"
He then went on to add:
"Like, d*wg, don’t even come over here with that...Because at the end of the day, I don’t play how y’all play. To me, that really was just like… he’s a wh*re. He’s a wh*re"
The rivalry has since escalated after Pusha T’s verse on “So Be It" and the subsequent clapback by Travis Scott. The recent exchange has brought their rivalry into the spotlight and also represents a significant moment for Travis, who has generally avoided direct confrontation in his music despite occasional industry tensions.
