Fans of Chicago rapper BloodHound Q50 are worried since the news of his alleged involvement in a shooting in St. Louis has gone viral.
According to XXL Magazine, the word began to spread that the rapper, whose real name is Mikquale Cooper, became a victim of a shooting on August 17, 2025, in which 60 shots were fired at his vehicle, and it left four people injured. Distractify reported that no official confirmation has been made by law enforcement or the rapper's representatives on the shooting.
However, XXL magazine has confirmed that BloodHound Q50 is safe. The outlet reported that ever since the news gained attention from his concerned fans, he shared multiple posts online confirming he is okay.
They said that the rapper shared a post on his Instagram story, which indicated that he hasn’t been harmed. He shared his picture with the words "watching all the fake news laughing,” hinting that the news of his shooting was fake.

BloodHound Q50 addressed the viral shooting claims by directly responding on social media. In his posts, he taunted his attackers and showed himself unharmed.
According to XXL magazine, in one of his Instagram posts, shared on August 19, 2025, BloodHound Q50 shared a photo carousel, with the lyrics from EST Gee's “A Moment With Gotti,” which said –
"Notorious like Big Poppa/But I ain’t goin like Chris Wallace/da world know who the goblins/ they beggin fa me to stop it/da reason they don't ride with toddlers, no sympathy, dump on mamas / u either in or you out it, and don't even question me bout it”
In the photos, BloodHound 50 is seen sitting in a Rolls-Royce unharmed. He also went live on Instagram after the news spread online. Many of his fans took to the comments section, commenting on his safety.
A report in HotNewHipHop stated that BloodHound Q50 was lured to a fake show, which made him an easy target, but it is unconfirmed. Other reports claim that the rapper allegedly stole $60,000 from a resident, reported to be a rapper. However, no official statement has been reported from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department on the status of the alleged shooting.
According to Hypefresh, Q50 is a 21-year-old rapper in Chicago’s drill music scene. He reportedly began his musical career in 2023. He followed the path of success with his tracks - Big 3 and Coffin.
He dropped his first commercial single, Splash Bros, in July 2024, according to his biography on Apple Music. The song was released after the murder of his friend Bloodhound Lil Jeff. In the following year, he continued to make his progress with tracks like Triple 3, Go, and BH4L.
Before the end of last year, he landed a deal with Signal Records (under Columbia) and released his debut album, Long Live My Brudda He Prolly Kilt Yo Brudda, in April 2025. He also performed at Milwaukee's Summerfest 2025 in July.
