Bad Bunny was chosen as the Halftime Show performer for next year's Super Bowl, and the internet is divided about the choice. However, Jay-Z, the chairman and founder of Roc Nation, supported the Puerto Rican singer and rapper. He said in a statement:

"What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage."

Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, has collaborated with the NFL since 2019. They are in charge of booking events for one of the biggest music stages in the country.

So far, since Roc Nation took over, they have booked artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Dr. Dre, Rihanna, The Weeknd, Usher, and Kendrick Lamar.

Bad Bunny is performing on the Super Bowl stage for the second time

Bad Bunny is going to perform the Halftime Show for Super Bowl LX next year. While many are not happy about the choice, this is not going to be his first time performing on the Super Bowl stage.

Back in 2020, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio joined Shakira and Jennifer Lopez on stage as a guest performer. However, in the upcoming Super Bowl, he will be performing his own set.

In a statement, Bad Bunny expressed his thoughts after being chosen as the Halftime Show performer. He said:

"What I'm feeling goes beyond myself... It's for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL."

The singer also took to Instagram to share the news with his fans. He simply posted a video of himself wearing a straw hat with a suit and slippers, sitting on a goal post on a beach. He captioned it:

"Super Bowl LX. Bay Area. February 2026. #AppleMusicHalftime"

The news comes right after Benito's 'No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí' concert residency ended. However, the singer has also announced his sixth concert tour, also known as the 'Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour,' which will start from November 21 this year and will conclude on July 22, next year.

Bad Bunny's Super Bowl LX halftime show not only marks his second time on the NFL stage but also his first as the main headliner. Despite the divided opinions, Jay-Z's support as the Roc Nation chairman and founder means a lot for the Puerto Rican singer. Additionally, he has a world tour lined up and the Super Bowl ahead, which adds another star to his already shining belt.
