Kimberly Schlapman speaks on what keeps Little Big Town united since its debut

During her interview with The Cincinnati Enquirer, Kimberly Schlapman shared the secret with the outlet as to what has kept their band united over the years since their debut in the 90s. She said:

“We've been through so much life together. It's like we're family at this point, and we have been for a long time just because we've been through so much together.”

She added:

“There's never a night that we are like, 'We don't want to do this.'”

Kimberly Schlapman added that their fans breathe life into them when they perform, which keeps them motivated.

Speaking about their Summer Tour '25, Schlapman said:

“We're having so much fun out here. We're doing amphitheaters all summer, and that's some of our favorite crowds just because you get to get close up with all the people, and people bring their families and their kids and it's just really special kind of shows.”

Little Big Town was founded in 1998 by its members, Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook. They celebrated their 25 years of togetherness last year in September 2024.

The four-person group is from Homewood, Alabama, and has, over time, gained significant recognition in Nashville, Tennessee. The group members, Fairchild and Schlapman, met in college in 1987. They were part of Samford University's vocal ensemble. But, after their graduation, they went their separate ways, until they reunited in Nashville and began performing together in the late 90s. Later, they were joined by Westbrook and Sweet, which led to the formation of their band.

They have released their latest album in May 2025, which is titled Summer Fever '25. The project features seven songs overall. Prior to this, the band released The Christmas Record in 2024 and Mr. Sun in 2022.
