Saturday Night Live is back for its 51st season. The first promo featuring Bad Bunny and others for the new run has split viewers online. The late-night sketch show officially released a short clip featuring host Bad Bunny, musical guest Doja Cat, and cast member Chloe Fineman ahead of the October 4 premiere.
Fans reacted to the latest promo, saying:
"It has not even happened and we're already sick of it."
The short promo was dropped on October 2, 2025, through NBC's official pages. It included three skits where Fineman tried to match the star power of her guests with relatively odd humor.
In one scene, she introduced herself as "Chloe Salamander," which left Bad Bunny expressionless. In another, Doja Cat dismissed her suggestions by pointing to her co-star, saying,
"Chloe, he has done this before."
The third one saw Bad Bunny shrugging off the importance of SNL by pointing to his stage for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
Internet reactions to 'SNL' season premiere promo featuring Bad Bunny and Doja Cat
Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to share that,
"Promo for Bad Bunny hosting SNL with musical guest Doja Cat."
Netizens soon weighed in on the comment section of the X post to share their thoughts on the promo. Below are some of their remarks:
"Bad Bunny hosting and Doja Cat performing? Yeah, SNL about to feel like the Met Gala and a block party rolled into one. 🐰🔥🐱", joked an X user.
"That is a fun and high-energy combo for SNL, should make for an unforgettable episode. Are you more excited for Bad Bunny hosting or Doja Cat performing?", questioned another.
"Seeing the hate and outrage over Bad Bunny being named the Super Bowl halftime act, shows that it was never about America first, but its about racism and if you don't look like "us" you don't belong. Puerto Ricans are American citizens. So they're either dumb or racist. I'll take BOTH for 200 Alex.", opined a third.
Others also chimed in:
"Those promos are always the least funny thing you will see. Just like that show.", declared a netizen.
"Bad Bunny hosting SNL. Can't speak intelligible English.", noted another.
"Happy Gilmore 2, Super Bowl Halftime Show, and now SNL. Is he “A list”?", commented a third.
Saturday Night Live's season premiere often pairs a high-profile host with a beloved music act. This year, NBC tapped two of the world's most-streamed artists. Puerto Rican rapper Bunny will serve as host, and Grammy-winning pop-rap artist Doja Cat will perform as the musical guest.
