Lorde is set to release her newest album, Virgin, on June 27, 2025. The singer has now seemingly teased a new tour supporting the album, with her website having had a "tour" tab added to it. The tab still does not have anything in it as of the writing of this article.
However, the seeming teaser has already started building the anticipation of fans, with many taking to social media to express said anticipation, as exemplified by the tweet quoted below:
"Omg we are SEATED for this one!"
Others reacted similarly, with some looking forward to what the singer might bring to the hypothetical tour, while others were keen to express their need to see the singer live:
"I've been a fan since her first album and I'm really looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us this time around," a netizen stated.
"I need to see her live, time to check those tour dates," another netizen stated.
"The hype train has arrived, all aboard!" one fan stated.
"If lorde announces tour tomorrow i will lose my sh*t, i’ve been waiting to see her on tour forever," another fan tweeted.
"I need to see her live, time to check those tour dates," an X user noted.
Lorde's Virgin album will be her fourth studio album
Lorde's upcoming album will be the singer's fourth studio album and her first since 2021's Solar Power. The singer talked about the album in an exclusive appearance with Document Journal alongside Martine Syms that was published on May 1, 2025, stating:
"That was honestly the biggest goal for me of this new record. It was like, I’m not going to put anything out until I’m in my body the way I know I’m supposed to be, to be able to do my work. That’s all I did the last four years, basically. This album is a byproduct of that process of fully coming into my body and feeling the fullness of my power."
She added:
"It’s cool to be back in that place of, like, the portal opening and the weight. I’m myself. All these parts of me are represented in a bunch of different ways. I’m not hiding from myself. I’m not stealing from myself. I often would think about not eating very much as I felt like every bite of food I had was stolen."
The singer continued:
"I was like, hang on, this has gotten weird. But to be out on stage at Coachella, I had this feeling of like, you know, your first day of middle school, [when] you’re like, this is a sick outfit, I love my outfit so much."
Lorde later talked about the process of recording the album:
"It’s very open, for me, the process of making an album. I start by reading, and I don’t really know why I’m reading what I’m reading. This time, I read a lot about the body in different ways. I read a lot of queer writers. I just read all of Annie Ernaux. [I was] in London surrounded by books at random Airbnbs and in the spare rooms of my friends...."
Lorde last toured in 2022 and 2023 as part of her Solar Power Tour. Aside from her music, the singer also released a memoir and photo book, Going South, in 2021. The proceeds from the book were used to fund a postgraduate scholarship created by the New Zealand government agency, Antarctica New Zealand.
